Operating principle
The Vasti Sauna pellet stove operates on an automatic pellet combustion system. Pellets, a renewable and environmentally friendly energy source, burn efficiently without increasing CO₂ emissions and produce minimal ash.
Pellets are automatically fed from the integrated hopper into the combustion chamber, where they burn completely to generate heat. The stove heats sauna stones, which produce steam when water is poured over them.
The control interface allows adjustment of key parameters such as temperature and operating time, while an external sauna sensor ensures precise and convenient temperature control.

Pellet Stove Construction
Fuel
The Vasti Sauna stove is specifically designed for sauna use and operates on compressed wood pellets – a fully renewable and eco-friendly fuel.
Pellets are made from compressed sawdust and wood waste without chemical additives, ensuring clean combustion and minimal environmental impact. They produce very low ash and do not increase carbon dioxide emissions, making maintenance simple and keeping the stove clean.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to use pellets with a diameter of 6–8 mm and moisture content below 10%, ensuring stable and efficient combustion. The average calorific value of pellets is 16–18 MJ/kg, providing high energy efficiency with relatively low fuel consumption.
Thanks to their high density and uniform structure, pellets can be automatically fed from the built-in hopper into the combustion chamber, ensuring consistent and uninterrupted heat generation.
As a fuel type for sauna stoves, pellets combine ecological, economic, and practical benefits – they are easy to store, convenient to use, and environmentally safe.
